Why it matters
Cloud Control Platinum uses moisture-activated odor eliminators plus baking soda, with a 14-day odor control guarantee. ARM & HAMMER's Dander Shield Technology is designed to help keep dander in the box.
Its light scent is hypoallergenic, an alternative for owners who want something between unscented and heavily scented. The box is 34 lb.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Allergy-aware homes
- Owners who want light scent
- Self-cleaning boxes that take clumping litter
Look elsewhere if
- Owners who want a light bag
- Flushing (clay isn't flushable)
- Crystal-tray boxes
Pros and cons
Pros
- Dander Shield
- 14-day guarantee
- Light scent
Cons
- Heavy
- Not flushable
- Scented
Limitations to weigh
- In a self-cleaning box, use it only where the box's maker accepts clumping litter; most globe and open-top boxes do, crystal-tray boxes don't.
- Scented litters can put off some cats; if your cat avoids the box after a change, try an unscented formula.
- The bag weight is what you carry, not how long it lasts; lighter formulas cover the same use with less weight.
