SureFlap Microchip Cat Door Connect with Hub

Why it matters

This bundle includes the SureFlap Hub, so the Cat Door Connect works with the Sure Petcare app out of the box: lock or unlock remotely, set curfews and see who's in or out.

DualScan scans on entry and exit, so you can set exit permissions per cat. The opening is 5 5/8 in wide by 4 3/4 in high, and four AA batteries last up to 12 months.

Pros and cons

Limitations to weigh

• Measure your cat's widest point and the door or wall thickness before cutting; check the cut-out size on the maker's template.
• Confirm your cat's microchip number and standard before buying; a vet or a scanner can read it.
• Prop the flap open for the first days and reward your cat for using it; most cats learn within a week.
